Grant Making Meeting July 7

Letters of Interest for WGSD funding will be coming in on June 30th! Please join us for a Grant Making meeting on Wednesday July 7th at 5pm at the home of Jan Tuttleman (7791 Starlight Drive, La Jolla). At this meeting we will review all the grants that were submitted and start our process of determining a granting partner. All members are welcome to join in on the process. WGSD Summer Meetings Cancelled

Summer meetings-July 5th, August 2nd and September 6th are canceled. Our next Membership Meeting will be held Monday, August 23rd, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at AMN Healthcare. Working Groups will meet over the summer as determined by Working Group Chairs.

Our next Membership Connection Reception will be held Wednesday, September 22nd, 5:00-7:00 p.m., location will be announced later. Please put it on your calendar and once again, bring your friends. We are anxious to continue to grow our membership and granting fund. The more members we have, the larger the grants we can make into the community.

Women Give San Diego Membership Connection Event

Strengthening Our Community by Investing in
Underserved Women and Girls

Please join us for a Women Give San Diego Membership Connection Event on Wednesday, June 9th, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the beautiful home of Gayle Tauber. Come and learn more about the progress we are making in the development of this exciting new initiative, while getting to know each other. You won't want to miss this special occasion!

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about how we've progressed in our first year and to introduce your friends to Women Give San Diego:

• We will share our mission, our vision, our values.
• We will share how we focus on underserved women and girls to strengthen our community.
• We will share the opportunities for funding.
• We will invite you to join this process!

We challenge every member to invite three women who might be interested in joining Women Give San Diego. April 5th Membership Meeting

We hope you will be able to join us for the next membership meeting on Monday, April 5th, 5:00-7:00, pm at the AMN Healthcare Conference Center in Carmel Valley. At our last meeting we decided on the process and timeline for granting. The goal is to make our first grant by October of 2010. In this next meeting, we will further discuss this process and move forward to determine the values of our organization so our granting can be values-based.

Our website is now live! Please go to www.womengivesd.org and send your friends there as well! There is a form on our website to request our survey on the Economic Security and Self-Sufficiency of Women in San Diego County and more information about membership to our organization. Thank you to Emily Davis for creating this great resource for us!

Save the date for a membership recruitment event on Wednesday June 9th at Gayle Tauber's home in La Jolla, "Building Our Community with Underserved Women and Girls".

All of our membership meetings will be held on the first Monday of the month throughout the year. We look forward to your participation as we go through our granting process.
